In Lesson 5, you will be able to express your relationship with your destination. There are many phrases that you often use in everyday life, such as how to ride a vehicle.
<場所> へ 行きます
わたし 京都 行きます。
この文章では英語でいうところのtoが抜けていて、文章として不十分です。場所に行くということを伝えるときは<へ>を使います。
わたしは 京都 へ 行きます。
Go to <place>
わたしは きょうと いきます
In this sentence, the word to in English is missing, which is not enough. Use to convey that you are going to a place.
わたしは きょうとへ いきます
<乗り物> で 行きます
どんな手段で目的地に行くかを表現したいときは乗り物の後ろに「で」をつけます。これは英語のbyに相当します。
わたしは バスで 会社へ 行きます
Go to by <vehicle>
If you want to describe how you go to your destination, add a “de” to the back of the vehicle. This is equivalent to by in English.
わたしは バスで かいしゃへ いきます
<人>と行きます
誰かと一緒に行くことを表したいときは「と」を使います。これは英語のwithに相当します。
わたしは 家族と 日本へ 行きます。
Go with <person>
Use “to” to indicate that you are going with someone. This is equivalent to with in English.
わたしは かぞくと にほんへ いきます。
<日時> に 行きます
何時に行くのように時間を表現したいときは「に」を使います。
わたしは ８時に 学校へ 行きます
Go to<date and time>
When you want to express time like what time you go, use “ni”.
わたしは 8じに がっこうへ いきます
